So sorry for your loss..It is really hard to understand the loss of a loved one, we like to prepare ourselves before hand, but either way it’s still hard to comprehend..

My Dad just passed away (4weeks) ago.

So I understand how hard it is to get the family to make decisions.

We are a close family, but I was surprised by how some people acted..

I would just concentrate on getting the death certificate & organising the funeral..

The family will rally round after the initial shock wears off..

My sisters were the same about wanting to take things from the home, I realise now they just wanted a reminder off him.

They can’t take anything until probate has been sorted, so you can just tell them that.(if that applies).

We haven’t cleared my Dads house yet..

That will be the next stage to deal with..

Good luck to you and condolences again.

All the best
