Co-amoxiclav

Hi,

Presented at my local cancer ward assessment unit on Friday with temp. of 38.8, was up & down for 24hrs, sore throat, cough, cold, aching.

Assessed & told states were borderline & that I should be ok to go home with 7 days worth of Co-amoxiclav 500/125mg. 2 days in & I have thrush, lightheadedness, diarrhea, excessive, sweats & still 5 days to go, lovely.

Has anyone else have experience of the aforementioned Co-amoxiclav? Do/will the said effects settle over the next day or two?

I had similar symptoms of cold etc and Temp over 38 went to my local ( London) where I had treatment and they had told me to go to A&E if I get Temp over 37.6 so I did they took blood & said sign if infection ! Have been given fluid Antibiotics plenty and other fluids like electrolyts and am still there might be discharged today. Temp down . Personally not sure I think only Diarrhea is the only side effect of your Antibiotics I think you need more care in Hospital and have Fluids IV. Wishing you all the best.

Hi, All was manageable, blooming powerful meds. the Co-amoxiclav, day 6 was the worse I could easily have stopped but kept going, as you do.

Finished the course now & am looking forward to flushing out the antibiotics over the week-end. Thanks for the reply & hope you got a clean bill of health & a discharge. PlymouthBoy.
