Not sure how far to run? Where's best to buy running shoes? Should you try running with energy gels? This is the thread open to people running the British 10K and the Great North Run 2012 in aid of the British Skin Foundation. I'll start things off...

As a runner myself and having done a few races (10K, half marathons and recently the marathon), I was wondering how many people found that going totally tee-total helped them for the big race?
