Dry flaky skin

Hi

I am being investigated for an autoimmune condition possibly triggered by a covid infection at Christmas. I had pneumonia and my lungs have not yet recovered. In addition to this I have ‘mechanics ‘ hands. My finger tips are thickened and scarred. . They have improved through constant moisturising but not completely cleared. Has anyone had this and successfully been treated for this symptom? My rheumatologist just told me to moisturise ! I’m getting frustrated by how long I’ve had this ( 4 months)

Thank you xx

Vexed to hear this and goodness, Covid has left you with a lot to deal with. Moisturising will certainly help but might be a long road without other specialist help, maybe worth trying to get referral to dermatology?

Hi I have suffered from autoimmune skin disorders and I have found inositol to be a very safe yet powerful suppliment

Covid creates an acidic environment in your body to counter this you need to go alkaline - I have half a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in watet every morning before anything else
