Red spot on my neck (look at photo)

Hi guys,

So about 5 days ago, this spot appeared on my neck, and it's starting to get me worried. Luckily I don't have anything else like it in any other part of my body. Do you have any idea what it might be and/or advice? (the smaller red spots are because of shaving so disregard them)

Maybe a ring worm? Do you have a cat or have you been around a cat?

That's what I was thinking too. Although I don't have a cat, and haven't been around one. What should I do from here? It doesn't look severe, so can I somehow cure it myself? Or should I go to a doctor and have them prescribe me some medication?

I think I would suggest seeing your GP as it could be something or nothing!

I had this as well I went to see a dermatologist he said it was ring worm but not to worry to apply hydrocortisone cream every day for about 3 weeks it finally went away. But I've noticed it comes back at least once a year. I know I got mine after going to the gym consistently.
