I don’t think OCD has any specific cure. I can tell you, from experience, that I avoided medication and therapy in the hopes of joining the military. It was a mistake, and I am still working on the fallout of not sorting through my anxiety/OCD.

I’m not taking any medication, but I believe it may be beneficial to me to help even my moods out. Too many highs and too many lows.

Praying for you!

In ocd our mind becomes uncontrollable it focuses only one thing . To control the mind we should distract our mind towards positivity. Surround yourself by positivity and spirituality. Go search yourself who are you? Discuss your problem with spirutual person , enlighten person. I am doing the same thing and its working i am feeling good now.

Well, the gold treatment is meds plus ERP(therapy) I've had meds for 5 years because I don't have good OCD therapist in my country but I am now educating myself about the therapy treatment and I am quiting meds(at least for a while) this is chronical but manageable for most people. Routines, exercising and meditation also helps. I've never had a severe depression. Wish you the best💪

Hello there,

I have done LENS neurofeedback, and I

highly recommend it. If you are considering medication it might be worth adjunctively working with a naturopath to do an HPG-A test. I'm sorting through this now myself and it might help to show the psychiatrist what your neurotransmitter levels are when finding a med (if you do try that route). When you do the HPG-A within the results you will also be giving recommendations for which supplements may be beneficial to you. I've been trying to not do meds myself!

Good luck!

Absolutely, though it depends on symptom severity and/or any comorbid (or simultaneous) diagnoses, in particular depression. Medication is typically used as an adjunct to ERP; it’s also useful in dialling down the intensity of your intrusive thoughts or alleviating any depression that may be inhibiting your ability to do ERP. I was on medication for a while but weaned off two years ago. Feel free to ask me any questions!
