Hi

It's best to speak to a neurological consultant about this, if you can get to see one...

There are many types of pain meds available depending on the source and type of pain

My sue uses nerve inhibitors to relieve the pain and the first one she used and still does is Gabapentin.

Good luck

hello I use gabapentin which works 95% of time but I also find massage and water exercises good. I have also started having Reiki sessions which I feel really help with the pain

Hi. I'm on gabapentin. I think with all Meds it's only possible to judge if they help is to stop taking them and I don't want to do that! I do also take amytryptiline. Good luck with finding something that helps there's nothing more miserable than painful feet

Hi there,

I’m the same here, I have pain in my core and coat hanger pain neck shoulders.

Like others here I use Gabapentin which helps. When I sit for too long I find my pain increasing so I’ve exercises which were given to me to ease my discomfort.

My core muscles are now not working as well which restricts my moving around in bed; where I land is where I sleep. Profiling bed has helped.

Like others there is no ‘ one solution’ so i tend to take a holistic approach to pain, trying to overcome with lots of different approaches.

Hi

I went to drs today as pain in feet have reached an all time high and affecting my walking. Having more blood tests but he thinks it is peripheral neuropathy and due to MSA. Since Covid in March really have started to deteriorate quite fast. :(

Maybe worth looking at the pain relief many have got fromPEA, a natural supplement .There are quite a few scientific articles on google.

Hi.

I was on Duloxetine for 2 years because i was told that was the best drug for nerve pain and numbness in my feet. I have recently been trying Capsaicin cream (made from peppers) it numbs the nerve endings to reduce the pain felt. I have been able to stop the Duloxetine without extra problems. (1 less unwanted drug) the only problem is getting hold of Capsaicin cream. My Dr's found somewhere that had old stock that lasts till mid 2024 and prescribed 3 tubes so i had some stock. ! am now looking for a new source but haven't found one yet.

Good luck
