Possible MS as well as AIH?

Hi wondering if anyone can give me some advice please?

I have just found out that I have most probably have Autoimmune Hepatitis just waiting for a liver biopsy to confirm it.

So far I know I have smooth muscle antibodies and waiting to see the consultant again for the full blood results.

As a few of my symptoms I have can be caused by liver disease as well as possible MS? lethargy, muscle pain and weakness, foggy brain I have also been experiencing some strange symptoms one is a sudden tightness around my upper torso back, sides and front it takes my breath away lasts for a few minutes and then eases. It’s not a pain as such but really unpleasant.

The questions I have are

Are smooth muscle antibodies the antibodies that can cause MS?

Has anyone experience of both?

Any advice is greatly appreciated 😊🌻

The pain/sensation around your torso sounds like 'MS Hug'. Having MS myself and having experienced this, I suggest Google it for an explanation or search for it on the Forum, as my concentration to explain it, isn't the best 🥴

I am not familiar with smooth muscle antibodies and ms. I would definitely get an mri and all the other tests ordered by your neurologist to diagnose the ms.You may also need to see a Pulmonary doctor for the breathing issues.

Also, your pain may be coming from your spine so an MRI on your spine is a good idea as well.

Good luck.
