PV and ET
I just thought maybe it was one or the other but really they are two different cells so make sense really doh! Thanks
Hi i have ET+MF as time went on i had read up on ET and learn that ET could go to MF but had not known read that you could have both cell types PV+ET well you learn something every day ,am going to cardiff forum in october be good to talk to people with same condision as me and hear talkes on MPD.hope you get bloods under control.
I was diagnosed with ET in 2007 and was treated with aspirin and Interferon injections, but when i was having a venesection the nurses always referred to my condition as PV, so like yourself i was always a little confused, when i attended the MPD forum in Belfast i asked one of the professors who explained that my condition was in fact Polycythemia vera ( with a elevated platelet count (ET).
I also have Et and PCV - been on hydroxy for 2 1/2 years - have had trouble keeping the platelets and red blood cells level (one goes up and the other down!) but I'm ok at the moment.
