Hi I have seen slot of people on here it not usually me asking questions on here I am usually helping if people are asking about hu but I have noticed like myself have hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism I am unless someone has already asked their consultant is either connected to their mpn if they have would like to know what their answer if not I will ask mine Stay safe everyone

Hi there i was diagnosis with PV Jak 2 positive in Oct 24. I also have hypothyroidism, diagnosed about 5years ago. I would be interested to know more.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about two months before ET nearly 3 years ago. I check in with endocrinologist every 6 months since ET as there is risk though low for me to morph to Hashimoto. I have been taking 45 and then 90 mcg weekly peginterferon to manage platelets. I have taken 75 mg levothyroxine 5 days per week. This has been very successful treating thyroid issue. Both hematologist and endocrinologist said ET did not cause thyroid issue but no data to prove that. I am 74 years young which age both say hypothyroid is natural result of.

My hypothyroidism was diagnosed (about two or three years in, in my late thirties) as a result of all the blood tests I was having for my ET.

My borderline hypothyroidism was diagnosed also as a result of the blood tests I was having for ET. Although it remained "sub-clinical" for quite some time - the consistent out of normal readings (although they were only slightly out of range) has my GP put me on 50mg daily of levothyroxine. Readings have remained in the normal range since I started medication.
