PV question

I have been diagnosed with PV over 2 years, just wondering can a person with this condition get Botox/etc, any advice would be much appreciated.

This is just my experience. As most people know I am a dermatology PA. I have PV and have had it for almost 4 years. I asked my MD Anderson doctor years ago and he told me it was fine. I have Botox every 3-6mos and I am on Besremi and have had it since I started that. And going in March. This is my experience but I still cleared it with my doctor. And may get some laser treatments too. I would clear it with your doctor and be sure to get your cosmetic treatments from a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. They will know more about which treatments are safe for you. Be specific with your doctor about what you want done. Botox maybe ok but other things may not. Avoid med spas. Just be sure it isn’t a place that will just say yes to take your money. Make sure they know when to say no that isn’t safe or it could make something worse. Make sure you tell them all the meds you are taking, etc. hope this helps!!!

I have been getting Botox for over a decade and it hasn't been an issue with my PV.
