tightening sensation query

hi,

Just curious if anyone has experienced, only at night time in bed, a sensation of tightening of the chest. I am on baby aspirin & omeprazole as they thought it was acid reflux but had loads of test done & heart is fine.

Would be very grateful for any feedback.

Thank you ❤️

There can be a number of reasons for what you describe including infection, injury, anxiety, cardiovascular conditions, lung conditions, and digestive issues. It is sometimes necessary to go through a process of elimination to figure it out.

What you describe does sound consistent with mild acid reflux, which I also experience. Did you receive an endoscopy to confirm the diagnosis? This confirmed my GERD, along with esophagitis, gastritis, and an hiatal hernia.

If you are confirmed to not have GERD, then it is on to other causes. I would suggest not just ignoring it. While it is likely something minor and easily treated, it is best not to take chances when it is in the context of a MPN.

Wishing you success in sorting this out,.
