Thank you all for your replies. I feel better knowing it seems quite common unfortunately my GP doesnt seem familiar with this. I think I will get in touch with my blood doctor see what he has to say. It was bloodwork for my GP not oncologist

You cannot expect your GP to be aware of all the manifestations of MPNs. These are very rare disorders and most doctors have little experience or knowledge about them. MPNs are outside of the scope of practice for a GP.
Following up with a MPN Specialist is the best idea. You could also provide the GP with the literature regarding pseudohyperkalemia and thrombocytosis for the doc's edification.
