sudden purple mark over eye

hi - background is that I’m being watched for slightly elevated platelets and wbc but I’ve tested neg for gene mutations and had a normal bmb several years ago, so no diagnosis and hematologists so far have not felt there’s an Mpn or other issue.

Today, of the blue a purplish mark about 3/4 in by 1/2 inch appeared right at the top of my eyelid, kind of in the fold where the eyelid meets the bone above it. I am not aware if banging the eye or anything and it doesn’t hurt to the touch.

Is anyone familiar with something like this. Dr Google freaked me out a little and with the overlay of hematological concerns I’m not sure what to do.

I take Zoloft and a statin.

Suggest you review the incident with you care team. It is worth noting that Zoloft can cause altered platelet function/bleeding issues. This is true for SSRIs in general.

I have glaucoma and use Latanoprost eye droops that cause blue marks over my eyes.
