hi everyone I ve read here and there posts regarding constipation. If you’re affected you might like to try my homemade rocket muesli!

I prefer to make my own because I like organic stuff and knowing what’s gone into my food.

you could of course simply buy no sugar muesli and add 2 tablespoons ground flax seed and other stuff.

Here’s my recipe per serving all organic

2 tab gluten free jumbo oats

1- 2tab ground flax ( linseed)

1 tab chia seeds

1tab coconut flakes

4 Brazil nuts 6 cashews 6 almonds all chopped

Good handful raisins

4 dried apricots chopped

Half an apple grated

Optional - a handful of all bran

A bit of sugar if you wish - serve with Greek yog or your choice of milk

Will fill you up for hours past lunch time.

Best wishes

Louise

Sounds good, best avoid the sugar though if you can though

Hi Ainslie I know! Sugar’s deadly but some folk ( like me!) like a touch. Homemade always has less than shop bought. Do avoid the raisins and apricots as well for completely sugar free!!

I suspect a touch isn’t too life threatening 😀

You could substitute xylitol, tastes exactly like sugar and also helps with constipation!

The freshly ground flaxseed is good for our skin and regulating estrogen in women, and yes, it does the job keeping us regular. Superfood!

Anagrelide caused me incessant constipation and constipation is a HUGE factor in health!!! Not getting all the stool out daily causes reabsorption of toxins and hormones,….

Your recipe does sounds delicious and effective, but there are people have trouble digesting different kinds of nuts, chia seeds, etc. 4 Brazilian nuts daily will get the body into trouble. Too much selenium. 2 a day max. It’s also a lot of work, but definitely delicious.

I tried everything. Flax must be grated fresh else it gets rancid quickly. It should be soaked 15” before eating to get the proper benefits. Chia causes me diarrhea. No grains for me: gluten problems, oats in 3rd place on the intolerance scale. 😑

The easiest and best solutions for me (I’ve tried literally every natural solution)

drink lots of water especially in the morning after waking I’ve drunk a liter till my breakfast is done glass with my thyroid hormone, glass with my first pill, glass with my gut bacteria and my sencha tea.

And/or

2-3 dried prunes in a glass of water overnight and drink the water and eat prunes in the morning.

Or

2-4 tablets of Amrutadi - an herbal Ayurveda treatment. It has worked flawlessly for every single person I know!

Also

Also digestive enzymes, especially with fatty meals.

🙂

Everyone has to test and find what works for them. All the best!

It’s best to soak the nuts and seeds overnight to digest better

The easiest thing I found is to take one magnesium oxide, It always works for me.
