I do hope everyone is keeping as well as they can be….
Just a quick question regarding the above, has anyone had high levels of this and if so dows this require any treatment/therapy.
I am aware low levels do but can’t really find any info for high levels
I have been having various bloods done by my GP through a ‘vague pathway’ and this one has come up! It is high above high reference limit but states ‘no further action’

The high IgG can be caused by an autoimmune reaction due to interferon. Your hametologist could search for irregular agglutinins:
« irregular agglutinins can lead to elevated levels of Immunoglobulin G (IgG). Irregular agglutinins are antibodies that cause the clumping of red blood cells in response to certain antigens. This can trigger the immune system to produce more IgG antibodies as part of the immune response. Consequently, the increased production of IgG antibodies can result in higher levels of IgG in the blood ».
That is very interesting as I am on Interferon and have been for over a year but haven’t found anything relating to this!
I went to the The GP initially due to toilet problems and he was looking at testing for Celiac disease, which I did see somewhere in the searching at Immunoglobulin levels, I tried a Gluten free but no change then tried a Lactose free and have found a good difference with this so I’m sticking with it for the time being…
I do have my Haemo appointment in a couple of weeks so I will mention these tests that my GP has had done
