NO ANBEE, NOTHING CHANGED AT ALL, DID YOU KNOW CAYENNE CAN HELP IN HEART ATTACKS TOO, I CARRY IT IN MY HANDBAG ALL THE TIME, IT THINS THE BLOOD THE NATURAL WAY....GOOD LUCK.
I had heard that and excellent to know if medics etc aren’t available. It really is a remarkable substance. I use it in a ginger cinnamon lemon tamarind and honey drink to get a cold out of the body. At first symptoms. My children all drew up with that. 😁
when you have been caught out in the cold and it has penetrated into your body and you feel freezing- this is called a cold attack and is the beginning of cold or flu. Either can be treated with this drink.
that is a belief and not held out in actual experience or pathology. It ‘can’ lead to colds and flus is more correct, as chills and or alternating chills and fever are the known prodromal symptoms associated with colds and flus
Getting cold can certainly make you feel worse if you have a cold, and spicy food can ease the symptoms - helping to unblock your nose. Nevertheless, a cold is a viral infection. I've always associated the word "prodrome" with more serious illnesses, but I suppose there's no reason not to use it in relation to a more trivial infection like a cold.
thank you for your response. You may or may not be aware that many ‘Spicy’ foods have known anti viral and anti bacterial properties and have been used around the world for at least 2,000 years of continuous written history on their use and the symptoms required to apply them.
This article confirms what I said: illnesses such as colds and flu are caused by viruses. Obviously some infections are caused by bacteria. Thank you, but this is fairly basic information which is generally well known I think 🙂
I just sprinkle it on all my foods, including fried eggs in organic Coconut Oil or cold PRESSED Olive oil....olive oil has to be cold PRESSED too in BLACK GLASS....NOTHING IN PLASTIC...I NEVER USE VEGETABLE OIL, CANOLA OIL, RAPESEED OIL, ..I FEEL LIKE A DIFFERENT PERSON...JUST SPRINKLE HOW MUCH YOU CAN TAKE, AS ITS HOT, AND SPICY...LOVELY
I only eat once aday, , so maybe 7 shakes of the small glass jar, half a teaspoon, there abouts, cleans ones Arteries too, depends how spices you like your food, Good Luck ❤
Yes, one meal aday....this gives the body time to heal, definitely no snacks raising ones Insulin, I'm never hungry now, it's called Restrictive Eating , or Intermittent Fasting ...I eat around 2pm , not many Carbs, Protein I eat first, it keeps you young lol.
wow I’m going to try that. I have retired every natural remedy and had no luck I’m on HU also 500mg a day. I have ET with JAK2 Mutation. Do you have a JAK2 Mutation ??? I’m 61 yr old male. Last check my platelets were 448 I would like to see them lower maybe this will help this seems to be as low as they will go with HU. Just wanted to know if you do have a mutation..thanks
Most consultants are happy with platelets at 448. Main thing is to have all bloods at reasonable level. Also how you are feeling and what symptoms you have are relevant in the overall picture of how you are .
I have JAK2 POS.
Natural remedies not lowered platlets but I feel they support my system cope with Hydroxycarbamide. I'm taking 500 every other day. Especially turkey tail mushroom powder and a good CBD oil.
Yes, I do have JAK 2 GENE, PLATELETS SHOULD BE BETWEEN 150 AND 450, SO YOU SOUND GOOD.....ON XERALTO INSTEAD OF WARFARIN, I INSISTED ON THIS, FAR MORE MODERN DRUG THAN WARFARIN, PLUS NOT WANTING RAT POISON IN MY BODY....MANY PLUSES TAKING XERALTO....NHS VERY RARELY PRESCRIBED THIS, I DID MY OWN RESEARCH....$524 PER MONTH, IT IS SAID....VERY EXPENSIVE, HOWEVER, FANTASTIC....PLUS ONE CAN EAT VIT K.GOOD LUCK, ❤
I don't know what the criteria is for the choice of prescribing of blood thinners but I understand the NHS certainly does commonly prescribe both Xeralto/ Rivaroxaban or Apixaban. I was put on Rivaroxaban 8 years ago after a blood clot for a few months and then changed to Apixaban. As you say certainly easier than Warfarin but one has to keep rigidly to taking it 12 hourly and being very careful not to cut oneself.
448 is beautiful. I can’t get mine below 650 because of neurological problems with Hu, heart and BP problems with Anagrelide and now strong side effects starting with Besremi. 😢. I’m willing to increase Chili intake slowly.
I have been on an amazing health trip and natural everything, GMO free, chemical free, grain free (except rice), milk and sugar free. What a huge difference in my life!!!
My platelets jump around from month to month. Despite meds, my platelets are Anywhere between 500 and 800. Except for May and June, where they always go down, last year down to 235!!!!! Besremi since October stabilized me at 650. 10 days ago they exploded for no reason to 890!!
in order to be sure that the Cayenne pepper is working This will have to continue for many months to prove that yes Cayenne pepper reduces thrombocytes. It’s not that simple. It may be that your thrombocytes also went down because it’s spring time like me Usually.
Nevertheless, it’s worth a try. If I remember correctly, Cayenne pepper fins the blood, therefore there is care to be taken when taking aspirin et cetera
let’s hope it continues to work!! Keep at it and try not to change anything in the your system so you can be sure that this really works! If you change things, your experiment might be falsified. Looking forward to more news! 😀
How much Cayenne pepper are you sprinkling? What about Chili paste? Like the Koreans use? My daughter puts it in everything. When I was in S. Korea in 2019, I couldn’t handle even the smallest amount of chili, but now I’m ok with it? Strange isn’t it? I make my own kimchi. Love it!! I also add ginger and garlic.
More good news Anag...4th month on Cayenne Pepper Sprinkling ...August full Blood count, PLATELETS still in excellent range 334No blood thinning Meds did this in over 2 years....just so amazing ❤
So, I think it is time to try this. I’m at the MPN specialist on the 30th then traveling till mid September. Such dietary changes need planning.
Could you let me know exactly what you are doing? Which cayenne? Fresh? Powder? Dried peppers? Which amounts?
I was in Korea in 2019 and just after four days of spicy foods, I was not able to tolerate hot pepper at all. In the past year I have been able to eat foods with hot pepper and it didn’t seem to cause any problems at all with my stomach, intestines, etc.. I figure I will begin slowly and increase. I am so curious what my blood test will be like. I have been stable at 5:50 for a while and have increased my best Besremi from 150 µg to 200 µg since June. It has been taking a toll on my thyroid, but just lightly. I prefer this to the heart problems that Anagrelide was causing me. I’m still taking two capsules, of Anagrelide daily and I am hoping to reduce to one a day. 🙏
Thank you so much for remember me and letting me know! 😘
definitely not. I take 40-60000 IUs weeekly vitamin D sept-June. In the summer I reduce and am in the sun in Greece then fish on the lake in Austria the whole summer. I don’t use sun cream except at the beginning where my skin is still white. That means I’m getting tons of Vit D from the sun till September. My platelets usually go up in August. And back down in October. Is it Too much Vit K from salad? I Don’t know.
I’m really sorry about your skin cancer, Plate! Which skin cancer do you have? Are you on HU? Do you know why you got it? I understand that you need protection always!
I should have been clearer. I am Greek and tan well. If I’m outdoors during the day, I cover up. I stay indoors or in complete shade (under a roof, not an umbrella) from 11am-4:30pm from May to August, whether at home in Austria or in Southern Europe. I’m careful in April and September. I use 40 factor sunscreen if I know I’ll have longer sun exposure.
15 min sun exposure midday = 10,000 IUs of Vit D. Outside the danger hours, longer. One should never become pink or burn! I adjust my exposure and slowly get darker.
My very fair friends need sunscreen all the time, but take up Vit D much faster than darker skin. Very dark skin in northern countries all have a terrible Vit D deficit.
In the end, we need to be mindful. The sun can be our best friend and our worst enemy.
Thank you for your comment. I should have been clearer. I pray you have good care and you’ll get well from this, Plate!
I have been treated for basal cell on my back, several squamous lesions on my face, and a melanoma caught early. Back in the 70‘s I was a sun worshiper. Big mistake! I am on HU and I coat myself with of pf50 sunscreen daily. I see a dermatologist annually, but I need to go twice a year.
I was a worshipper myself, but started 15“ the first day, 20 the next and so on. I build up my melanin slowly. I get myself checked thoroughly every year.
Thank god you caught things early! I know that Hu patients have to protect. One member here already had 4 Basolimas in his face. He’s a farmer and doesn’t protect. 😑
I was at my dermatologist today , because my daughter had a mole removed. After reading your message yesterday , I saw a weird black dot on my back last night. It did seem to be a tiny melanoma and I thought maybe this is a strange coincidence. Luckily, it was only a black head! Go on in a minute, I had been there a few months before, and she even checked between my toes. She’s really thorough. She told me that she had a man last week who had seven different cancer spots on his skin, and one was a melanoma. She immediately removed all, but sent him straight to the hospital immediately to get the melanoma treated in the safest way possible.
when in the sun in summer it is calculated that your own body is manufacturing 25,000 IUs per day. You are possibly achieving this on your fabulous holidays. This amount is reduced as we age and when the suns angle changes from the shoulder seasons. It would appear that your platelets rise when not taking Vit D is that correct? You state above that you take the supplement from September to the following June and platelets rise in August. Possibly not manufacturing sufficient during sun exposure? I’m just clarifying with you as some interesting research is around Re higher doses of Vit D to boost immune system and possibly protective (bowel cancer) or moderating in some others. 😊
Those are very good points!! You’re the first to maybe pinpoint the reason for the sudden rise in platelets in the summer.
Studying Vitamin D is a huge undertaking. Researchers have spent their whole lives, studying how D works and how it promotes health, cures diseases and the lack of causes disease and bad health. It’s apparently needed for 500 different processes in the body.
As far as I’ve studied, 15 minutes of direct full body exposure during high summer (June/July) gives 10,000 IUs. That’s all that would be needed for good health. After that, 25,000 can be reached and then the body adjusts and has enough. (?) sounds plausible. Ive learned that the Sun’s vitamin D works better and faster than vitamin D drops or pills.
D intake will vary depending on the darkness of the skin. In August I’m obviously darker. my platelets have always been the lowest in May/June. That is when I’m whitest and the sun is strongest. I don’t count this year because I am in the middle of switching from anagrelide to Besremi and the platelets are not stable. We also had almost no sun. Just rain for the past month. The Sun has been here for a few days and will now continue! 😀
I do take some Vit D in the summer, but just 20,000 IUs per week instead of 40-60000. I’m not a sun worshipper, as I used to be in my teens and 20s, but I tan. I am almost never in direct sunlight. I fish 4-5 days per week and of course the reflection from the water tans me as well.
I will continue taking my vitamin D this summer to see if that makes a difference. But there is a new variable in the experiment and that is the Besremi. No matter what, taking 40,000-60000 IUs a week and getting some sun will not be a problem with overdosing.
I am looking forward to Zakynthos next month! 😃 will visit cousins in the Peloponnese first. I am happiest in Greece, even though I’ve never lived there. I feel the earth’s energy and my heritage!
Sorry but I find this all a bit weird. One meal a day at 2pm yet then go on to talk about brunch. Brunch being an American term for between breakfast and lunch is hardly likely to be eaten at 2pm. Your profile says you are in the UK yet you mention costs in dollars. I just think this is all a bit suss.
