3 cm cyst on spleen

I was diagnosed with Post ET / MF approximately 5 years ago, CALR mutation, had an ultrasound on my spleen yesterday, it showed enlarged spleen with a 3 cm cyst. Has anyone else had this problem and what was done about it. Any information would be appreciated.

I have had lesions on my liver, spleen an kidneys. The liver and spleen lesions are thought to be hemangiomas. It was cysts in the kidneys. All were benign and have no clinical significance. Splenomegaly is quite common with MPNs. Provided it is not too large, it is not a significant problem. It can become an issue when the enlargement causes symptoms.

Suggest you contact your care team for a case-specific answer for your findings. Please do let us know how you get on.

Hi, I haven’t had this problem but am interested to know if you had any symptoms that you particularly thought indicated something was wrong with your spleen? I have been experiencing some niggley discomfort below ( not under) my left ribcage and am wondering if my spleen is the cause as I have PV. Many thanks in anticipation of your reply. Turfbeg.

My main problem has been tenderness on left side below ribs and a feeling of fullness after eating. I understand this is a common problem with an enlarged spleen.
