I’m in a similar position. I’ve been very anaemic for a long time, other counts, including platelets, ok. I had a bmb which showed some fibrosis and scarring. Doc said probably as a result of the ET and the Anagrelide. So my Anagrelide dose has been reduced, got more blood tests in a couple of weeks to see if that’s made any difference and further decisions then. Hope all goes well for you.
nou sure if im progressing, only symptoms are fatigue, slightly low hb and slightly enlarged spleen.physical symptoms havent changed since my et diagnosis, platelets now normal and i just take aspirin. Hope this helps.
It’s my humble opinion that you probably are not progressing to MF since you stated that the only abnormal numbers are your hemoglobin. I progressed a few years ago, after several years of anemia and very high platelets. A BMB, in believe, is the only way to really know to see if you have fibrosis so I guess if you want peace of mind, it’s a good idea.
Thank you for replying, yes i need a bmb ,my consultant also said i dont need any other treatment apart from aspirin at the moment as i have no severe symptoms only fatigue.Hope you keep well.
