Today marks six weeks in hospital and I have to say I am genuinely feeling better. My consultant has reviewed my BMB results and says the debulking chemotherapy has "had the desired effect." This is of course only the first phase but my husband and I rejoice at this first victory.
My platelets are recovering well, my red cells still need some topping up but not as frequently as at first and, to my great relief, my neutrophils have crept up to 0.3. They have to be above 0.5 for me to safely go home but I feel positive.
My SCT is now scheduled for early June. I just need to gain some weight as I lost some quite rapidly during chemotherapy and the following couple of weeks.
I feel very comforted to know that you are all cheering me on.
Love to you all, Jennie xx

Wonderful news, Jennie! I am so happy to hear you are feeling a little better. Maybe your hubby can bring you some delicious fattening food 😆Keep up the good work and know that I think of you often and cheer you on in my head. Big hugs to you!
Keep going June is nearly upon us. As soon as you can order as many take aways of your favourite food.A little tipple to help it down and whatever you fancy for dessert. All with in the SCT guidelines🤗💝😋
That is good news. I hope the hospital has managed to produce something more palatable that can help you gain weight. Good for the pesky platelets and hope other counts now take note and improve. Best wishes Diana

Very pleased to hear that you are feeling much better! I'm hoping that you are able to gain weight enjoyably eating something yummy, rather than the restricted diet that you have had to be on whilst having the chemotherapy! Sending lots of love from the other side of the world! Peter (Biggles!)
