I have ET, and I’ve been having trouble with my gums for some time. They bleed a lot, on my latest trip to the dentist he said the hyperplasia (gum overgrowth) had increased quite a lot since my last visit. He is referring me to an oral surgeon. He has said previously that my medication (Anagrelide) is to blame for my problems.
Previously I was on Hydroxy for a few years before developing horrendous foot ulcers which only healed when I was changed to Anagrelide, which I’ve been on for nearly 5 years.
Has anyone else had similar problems and if so what was the treatment?

Yes, I suffered a great deal in the earlier stages, but more so from HU, as I found it was my culprit... How long have you been on Anagrelide? Maybe you should try for a change to Pegasys' might help... (?)
I hope you can afford to go private to an oral surgeon! My wife has a molar which has split in two, and though the pain is sporadic, her waiting time to be seen is estimated at over two years. The NHS dental care in Wales is broken, bit like her tooth☹️
Have been on Anagrelide 2 and a half yrs- no problem with gums- am seeing dentist at the moment. Had bleeding because of aspirin which as we know thins blood and my skin is thin al (had some anaesthetic for a filling) which made me bleed a little but it wasn't anything serious.Am happy with Anag.
Ratton726 research liposomal vitamin C for your gum bleeding and your skin. Vitamin C is needed for the synthesis and maintenance of collagen. It helps to produce collagen, as it has an active role in collagen synthesis. It also acts as a sort of glue that binds collagen fibers together. Liposomal is a transport system with benefits worth checking out for vitamin C and low absorption substances like curcumin.
