I have been asked this question but never been told , sorry if it is a dumb question! I would think I am probably at early stages as there has been no urgency to start me on any medication for my secondary myelofibrosis still just aspirin at the moment .
Thanks in advance for any answers x

Mine never mentioned stages when I progressed from ET to MF and at that time my treatment didn't change for quite a while so I presume in retrospect my risk was low. It was only when it moved first to Intermediate 1 and then to 2 that the scoring system was explained to me. In fact I was given a print out of the DIPSS one, but I couldn't have worked it out myself. It would be best to check with your consultant.
Hi Indy, , I recall you experience symptoms like tiredness or fatigue and have had a scan on your abdomen the results of which wouldn't be available until October for some reason. I don't suppose you've got them yet but to be honest it seems a long time because mine were more or less instantaneous and im almost sure were stored on the computer for retrieval.
Anyway whenever your Haematologist has the full picture he or she might then review your treatment plan. But as you say there isn't any urgency right now based on your blood results which is a bonus.
I was diagnosed through bloodwork and a biopsy in 2019, as post Et MF intermediate 1. I’m having another biopsy in the next month or two to see if I progressed to the next level.
