I had a blood test last week as I’ve been feeling pretty rubbish and had some pain in left side and in my neck. The results are back and the GP is saying they’re all normal even though quite a few are out of the normal range. Looking online there could be a number of reasons for this so I’m not sure why the GP isn’t looking further into it. I guess I would just like a 2nd opinion to see if I’m just being paranoid or not and if not, what I should go back to the GP to say/ request? I’ve included pics of my results .

What is the next step?
I understand that you are worried, especially when you feel like you are having some other physical issues. As you said, there are several possible reasons why some of the values are off the limits - nevertheless keep in mind everyone is a little different.
My doctor monitored the blood values for about a month, as there could be so many reasons which increase / decrease some values.
Any chance you check again in about two weeks and compare?
I would definitely ask for a second opinion or insist on being referred to a haematologist. Haemoglobin and haemacrit are enough of a reason on their own to be checked out more thoroughly. Good luck and difficult as it may be, be very firm
Hi GemH2014. Sorry to hear of your concerns and that you feel unwell (the slightly raised CRP indicates that). I'm unclear from your posts if you have been diagnosed with an MPN - eg ET or PV. From your blood results, in my view I agree with the post from 'Hopetohelp' that you need a referral to a haematologist. Your haematocrit at 0.512 is too high and needs an explanation as soon as that can be arranged. Prior to my diagnosis (of PV in 2017) the GP kept repeating the blood tests and telling me I must be dehydrated and that I needed to drink more water. But I had PV and urgently needed a venesection to get the Haematocrit down to 45. (Only my haematocrit was high and platelets didn't start to rise till about a year later) . MPNs are rare and many GP's have no experience of them. Fortunately there were no negative consequences for me, but others on this site have reported similar experiences where they did have complications such as clots or TIAs. Best to get it sorted out - you deserve an explanation and put your mind at rest. As Hunter would say, assertive patients get the best treatment. Best wishes.
Thanks for the replies. I pushed back at the GP and they referred me to haematology and I have an appointment in a couple of weeks.
