Hi everyone… I find now that when I put in a full day of “busy” (I’m not running around) , by around 6 pm I am so fatigued and sore all over . For example today I was very busy with work, (a desk job at home during pandemic ), and I did a couple things around the house, nothing straining , then the fatigue and soreness came on so intense!
Hi my lovely, I am afraid that fatigue is one of the major factors of PV. Before I was diagnosed all I wanted to do was sleep, I just couldn’t wake up.
You don’t say what medication you are taking. If it’s Hydroxycarbimide then please take it at night as this will contribute to the tiredness.
Joint pain is another rotten symptom I am afraid. I am crippled up with it and I am afraid the Hydroxy has severely weakened my bones and teeth.
You may find that you have dizziness and what we call on here ‘Brainfog’. All of these are common symptoms. You do learn to pace yourself. If work is hard then have a word with your line manager who maybe will be able to help. That is another thing, don’t be to proud to ask for help.
I have felt that way with ET, prior to getting a diagnosis I kept feeling like I hurt, but I couldn't figure out where (very weird sensation). And I had no stamina at all. I have found that HU helps, but I also take it at night to help with the fatigue it can trigger.
