Hi cs1941.

Welcome to the forum.

We have something in common. I was diagnosed in May 2016 too, and also on hydroxycarbamide. It suits me very well and keeps my platelets in check.

Good luck

Mary

Welcome to this forum. Wishing you continued health and success with your treatments. Was that 59% back in 2016 your Hct or your allele burden for the Jak 2? Nice to hear from someone else in the over 70 group on this site although I wish you did not have one of these diseases. Good luck on your journey.

Thanks for the reply. Just had mine checked and it went from 27% to 50% in three years.

Not sure what treatment regimen you are on. That sounds like a good case to be made for PEGylated Interferon as it is the med that seems to offer the opportunity to alter mutant allele burden. Hope you are doing well overall.
