Hello friends l struggle with allergies, spring has begun and lm unsure what meds to use, last year l was ill and spent nearly all of the summer indoors. This year second year into diagnosis and taking Hydroxy and Warfrin lm wondering whether over the counter meds are still OK to use.lm hoping the dermatologist can help me with a suitable sun screen as l have severe pigmentation another recent outcome of ET meds perhaps. Any information most welcome. Thanks chums.

Allergies
I take Claritin but I'm not familiar with what might clash with Warfarin. You could ask a pharmacist - they are very knowledgeable about interactions. Hope you get it sorted, my husband has suffered really badly at times so I have a sense of what you go through. I only get mild hayfever.
Yes this has been suggested it sounds like a possible solution. Thanks friend
I take Cetirizine but as with Otterfield I have no idea about taking it with Warfarin. I know it's fine with Hydroxy as my haem prescribed it.
Hi will research thank you so much.Adiewon
I take Cetirizine prescribed by my GP and I am also on warfarin.Kind regards Malaika
Thank you so much for your suggestions l will research this.Adiewon
Have you tried bee propolis tablets. They stopped my hay-fever. Start them now gradually increase amount for summer. The tablets natural. I can't take anti histamine so it works for me
Hi. I have several allergies too and found that ceterizine is one of the things I react to. However I am okay with loratadine. Good luck
Buzzzzzz🐝 yes lm going to try loratadine thank you so much.Adiewon
You can check for drug interactions at the ePocrates website. epocrates.com/ This is the same software used by physicians. You can set up a free account and access drug monographs and drug interactions.
Claritin and Benadryl Allergy both did not flag any interactions with Hydroxyurea or Warfarin. As always, double check with a pharmacist or your doc.
Thank you dear always a great help.Adiewon
Hi Hunter as l live in the UK lm not eligible to use the website you suggested. Although since Brexit l know longer live in the EU,hey ho..Best

When allergy gets really badand I get it with tree pollen about now, I get Fexofenadine from my GP. It is strong but really works. Before that Iwas best on loratadine.
Stephen
Thanks will check it out.
It’s too late this year, but start using 1-2 teaspoons of local raw honey in January to build up antibodies. More Drs are recommending this in the USA
I also have terrible allergies. I take an over the counter antihistamine at night, along with my chemo pills. It does help, but it makes me even more tired the next day. So I only take it as needed.
Hi CJ Loratadina an over the counter med is helpful lm always exhausted in the morning and can't get used to it. I've also begun to take 4 drops of Propolis in water,it may help.Take care
Adiewon
Sorry, Adiewon, I just saw this. Thank you for your input. I haven’t heard of Propolis. What is it?
