Something to raise the spirits

This rather large beauty was destined to be a Christmas present, which got cancelled along with the rest of Christmas. It made its glorious debut this morning, and there are still 7 more buds waiting to open. Quite pleased that I didn't give it away now 😉

Enjoy your day - freedom's not far away.

John

It's a cracker for sure John, , you can't beat a good bloom to banish the blues . . . I can't wait for Spring although I've got a few open buds on my Camillia.

Can you get ointment for that Chris? 😂

Haha well I don't know Lizzie but I will add it to my list of daily pills and potions. . .

Actually my Camillia is in the way of redo but it's too well established to move and so far I haven't had the heart to remove it. The blooms are lovely but short lived , though it is evergreen which is in its favour.

Be good to get some bedding plants this year.

Looking forward to going to a garden centre, and getting some lovely colourful plants, although I think they have been open but I haven't been anywhere. We get 3 weeks to the gallon on the car at the moment. Although locally fuel prices have gone up now kids going back to school etc. When people weren't buying it it was cheap!

I did notice when I filled up at Asda , not long ago it was 1.09 ltr now 117.9 ltr . You would of expected it be dearer during lockdown with fewer road users and come down once everyone was zooming about. Another rip off we have to endure.

Take care - Chris

It’s beautiful! I don’t have a “green thumb” so I really admire your talent for creating this lovely flower.

I cannot claim any credit for it. It came as a bare bulb, ready planted in a pot. All I did was take it out of the box, add water and wait................... but so well worth the wait!
