Yes I was given one and told to take it back when full and they will give me another.

I have just started Pegasys and my GP surgery supplied a sharps bin when the nurse showed me how to do the injection. It's a very small one, not intrusive at all.

In New Zealand we can drop off full bins & replace with a new one at our local chemist/pharmacy

Nope, I just use a small cooler bag and give it to them when collecting new peg. They dispose and give me a new one.

A sharps bin is the correct way to dispose of needles and you should be issued with one. That way, hospital staff do not need to handle your used needles.

Hi assuming you are in the UK ? - I got my first sharps bin from hospital when the unit showed me how to inject - now when it’s full the local council collect it and provide a new one - I go online and let them know when it needs collecting and replacing as they have a specific service for that - I guess each council may have their own arrangements
