Thrombocyte removal/transfusion!

Does anyone know if we could give our platelets to other people?

I just found out that my mother-in-law has Myelodiplastic Syndrom, a type of blood cancer more dangerous than ours, where the body progressively produces less red blood cells, thrombocytes and leukocytes! She’s down to 85 thrombocytes. The opposite of our problem. She was super healthy for her age and lost her husband just 2 months ago. Has been deteriorating rapidly since. This apparently started last summer. I’m bringing her to my hematologist in 2 weeks and would like to have some first hand info from anyone who knows anything about transfusions.

The answer to the question is an no we cannot give our platelets to other people. We cannot be a blood or organ donor for obvious reasons. Atb,tina.🤗

Hi Tico, thanks for writing! She’s 93 and I thought of trying to lengthen her life a year. I’m going to try to make her as comfortable as possible. We are doing some TCM for all around energy for as long as possible. Cheers

Such a good daughter in law!! There aren't many believe me!

I agree with Tina - I asked about platelet donation when I was diagnosed with ET but unfortunately as they are defective they can’t be given to others. Same for blood and organ donation though I did hear that corneas might be OK...

I've heard or read somewhere the same about the corneas but can't remember where? Atb,tina.🤗

Thanks Andy! I didn’t know our platelets themselves were defective.

Yes - apparently as well as being too numerous they don’t work properly..!

I didn’t realise our platelets were defective. Thank you

Hi Anag

Sorry to hear your mother in law has been diagnosed with MDS . My wife was diagnosed with the hypoplastic MDS early last year .

Best wishes

Hi Skeeter, I’m really sorry about your wife’s illness. I read up on it this morning. I hope she has good treatments. I saw that you are hypothyroid. I have that too: Hashimoto. I was on T4 for 25 years (had Hashimoto 10 yr before that too, but no treatment) and since I’m getting all chemicals out of my body, I also got rid of synthetic T4 and changed from 200mcg T4 to bioidentical Hormone from a pig. The change took 3 months. I was able to decrease my need for hormone by 30% in a bit over a year and I feel much more stable. Of course the new hormone was not the only reason, I’m taking dietary measures and cleaning my body of metals and amalgams all step at a time. I also fixed my Vit D, selenium and iodine deficiencies. That wasn’t really easy. I found that thyroid problems are almost never treated, just covered up. Perhaps you are interested in this info. Ive found that once there is one autoimmune disease, other ones follow. It got gut problems, food intolerances, histamine intolerance and finally my ET. I’m hoping to slowly move back in history. Will let everyone know what’s up. I expect 3 more years of gentle changes to get me there.

Hi Anag-

If you don't mind me asking, how old are you? Could you recommend a process for going about ridding yourself of the chemicals and metals? Or doctors who will assist in this? Good for you, I hope to do this one day too. What are your amalgams made uot of? I had my mercury ones replaced but fear that the replacements aren't much better.

Hi Jschwab! I’ve never hid my age although I spent most of my career on stage. I just turned 54. i have s functional doctor, and agreat nutritionist, who is leading me in resetting and rebooting my immune system, the natural way. I also have 500 pages of notes from all my research in the last 10 months. I got rid of EMFs in my home as much as possible. I make my own cleaning products, soaps, shampoos, cosmetics. It took about a year, but I got rid of all GMO food and drinks. I buy almost only organic and nothing processed. No grains except rice, no milk products, except greek feta cheese and no night shades, almost no pork. This reduces inflammation. I feel 15 years younger and I lost more than 2 Stone in 14 months, slowly. I do eat a lot! Veggies, fruits, nuts, good meats and fish, lots of healthy fats! Omega 3, etc. I Drink lots of water, make sure all vitamins, minerals, hormones, liver, iron, IgA, IgG and enzymes, etc. in body are balanced. I take natural supplements. I do gentle bouncing on a small trampoline to get my lymph system to clean up me inside, do detox baths with good bathing salts, to get rid of toxins through the skin and a coffee enema (don’t freak out on this) once a week to purge my liver of toxins. This is incredibly effective. Regarding amalgams. Mine were done in 1980 and 1985. they are 55% Mercury, 5% copper, and other stuff. Pure poison. The copper made them easier to work with and more porous=poisonous. A year and a half later, I almost took my life. I took my first 2 amalgams out two weeks ago. I take a nanoform of chlorella, which loooooves mercury. A small amount has a huge surface area, bonds itself to mercury and leads it out of the body. I hope to be done with all teeth by October. Until then, chlorella. Must be taken at least 2 hrs after and 2 hours before my Anagrelid pill as not to take that out of my body. After that, I will get ceramic inlays or crowns. Be careful. The composite filling underneath should be compatible with you. There are kinesiologists that test this very simply. I’m also getting rid of my 4 root canals and a dead tooth. I have gotten rid of everything plastic in my home. It’s a lot of thinking, organizing and time cooking. It’s worth it!!! My whole family is healthier. With this, I cured my histamine intolerance, eczema, my lack of bladder control, brain fog, liver, spleen and lymph node problems, leaky gut, bloating, constipation, memory loss, dizziness, hair loss, high cholesterine. I have more energy than at 40. I wrote a lot, because I believe in what I am doing. It’s the future of health and patient centered medicine. I hope this doesn’t scare you. It’s a lot of info. Can only be done step at a time and it has to be doable. I believe, in 2-3 years, when my system is rebooted, i will have a chance on stopping or reversing my illness. It was 45 years in the making, it will take time to get rid of it. 😁🙏🏻 All the best to you.

Wow- thank you so much for this information! It is so educational. I'm printing it out for reference. How is your stress level/work load? Do you drink coffee or alcohol? I am so proud of you- you will be my inspiration! I am 50 and I have been health conscious for about 20 years moderately. I work out but it goes in phases. I have a super stressfuyl job, and when I took it on,, my patelettes started rising. I have a holistic doctor and she really pushes plant based diet. But then I became iron deficient. I do believe in organic, quality meat and fish. So good for you. I have never had a nutritionist but I need one! It's all so confusing. I love life, and want to keep loving and living a nice long life! So it is on my bucket list to do what you are doing. Please keep in touch! 😊Happy I found you on here.

Anag in reply to Jschwab

Hi Jschwab. I’m so glad you understand me. Plant based is good, but not for everybody. I got sick. Too many vegetarians are not cooking their lentil and beans properly in order to get rid of lectins and are burdening their gut. I need the organic meat and liver. Not a lot. But regularly. I fish my own fish now as I did when I was a young girl with my dad. So much better. Avoid the big mouth fish. They are full of mercury. Tuna is the worst, especially blue fin. I started eating a piece of liver 150g once a week since February and my red blood cells were in the normal range for the first time in my life! I have inborn Mediterranean anaemia. My organic farmer, just slaughtered a cow and I bought the whole liver 4.6kg. I portioned it, froze it and will have a little piece every week until October. Every person is unique and you need to find exactly what works for you. Eliminate all allergens, especially the grains which are highly gene manipulated and milk products and anything you may have a sensitivity to. Do that for a month and then start adding one food at a time. Regarding nuts, I don’t eat peanuts or cashews. I never make two changes at the same time. If I make a change, even if it’s a supplement, I don’t add or take away anything else, else I won’t know what caused an eventual change. teeth: I will get non metal replacement, no implanted teeth. About 1.5 years in, they start to form micro colonies of bacteria in the jaw, causing permanent low grade infection. You see, with us, little details are important. Some doctors for you to look up when you have time: Mark Hyman, Tom O’Bryan (he’s top for gut healing), Daniel Amen, Wendy Myer, Trudy Scott, David Jockers, Dan Pompa, David Perlmutter, Peter Osbourne. If you go to Healthmeans.com, you will find a lot of basic info that is free. Stress is a killer. 4 hematologists said to me that it doesn’t play a role in our illness. Yes it does. You just confirmed that and so have my experiences and those of others. That’s why I go step at a time. This illness taught me what’s most important in my life. The people in my life and enjoying what God had given me and all of us and being thankful for every little good thing and also the difficult things that teach me to be better. I’ve really stopped to smell the flowers. I deal with difficult situations in a different way now. I breath and transcend the situation. I can only do the best I can and I really try. I’ve learned to take little quality breaks, before I get too tired. That’s often tough to manage in a job situation and we have to think creatively to make that happen. Some form of meditation, prayer, or just going into oneself and touching base with our Center works wonders. There’s lots of info out there. Always try and implement what is doable. Simple and effective. That’s a lot again. I will take a break. Keep loving life! 🙂

Anag,

You have brought me to tears, of joy! You are so right. Thank you for all of the amazing resources, and your insight. You have been a game changer for me! Have a wonderful week.

How great! There is a lot that we could do for our health. We need to manage our own situation, because no one will do it for us! By the way, Coffee is not really a fiend. I do drink only organic coffee (but not strong), with rice milk. Greek coffee is actually better tolerated. I used to love a beer once in a while or some cognac or champagne. All these bother me now, but not red wine. One glass max. Apparently, alcohol brings down thrombocytes, but I’m not prepared to become an alcoholic in order to get rid of ET! 😁

Apparently not which, in your mother- law’s case seems a shame.

Maybe when all avenues are exhausted a heamo / oncologist might explore something along those lines.

Anag in reply to Wyebird

Hi Wyebird, we are trying, step by step. No one wants to treat a 93 yr old. The naturopaths are better in this case.

Sorry to hear about your mother-in-Law. I know you want to help but our blood is defective, too. I hope she finds treatment that works for her.

Anag profile image
Anag in reply to Cja1956

She’s had a long and good life. She says that if it’s time to go, it should be fast. We just want to manage symptoms and have quality time with her. We’d like her to stay with us on the lake this summer and just have her with us. No fancy treatments or BMB. No way. She was married 77 years. My father-in-law left us at 96 in January, therefore half of her is already gone and half is still there. 🙂🙁

It sounds like she has had a wonderful life. She is lucky to have you. I agree with you. Drastic measures at this stage of her life are not in her best interests unless that is what she wants. Enjoy the time you have left with her.

N0 - but some of 'our' diseases on these pages can be genetic so our siblings and children could also have them

Anag profile image
Anag in reply to Richinspirit

Hi Richinspirit, I love your name! Thanks for answering. According to epigenetics, our genes have tendencies for certain illnesses. Due to our life style, we can turn them on or off. I am, at 54, the 3rd youngest of 40 first cousins. Not one single other blood relative has any marrow related disease: not from the grandparents, their brothers of sisters, 14 aunts and uncles and not from the 140+ nieces and nephews of which I am Most often older (I come from good, robust Greek mountain stock🐏) It is my experience, that the med world blames genetics when they don’t know. I believe it’s our environment that plays the biggest role in any chronic illness, along with our genetic weaknesses. I have lived a life of trauma, since early childhood, stress, unhealthy food (like most of us), 30 mercury fillings, since I was 15, EMF and radiation exposure, car accidents (not my fault).... and a host of auto immune illnesses was the result. After that, ET. I really cannot blame my genes for this. The next 10 years will really open our eyes to our situation. There’s so much happening in genetics and biochemistry!!! I’m riveted in research and I’m sure that we can better and even beat this soon.

Ouch! I will still love England and all my friends there no matter what happens! I lived in London for two of the best and happiest years of my life. I pray that there will be a good solution. I’m Greek, born in Montréal. We all were waiting for a Grexit! The world is a mess no matter where we look. We really have to take care of ourselves, think deeply, laugh whole heartedly and trust in our creator to get us through. Food night!
