Probably gained around 3/4 of a stone but I have also stopped smoking which will have a bearing.

this could be because your spleen is shrinking and therefore you are able to eat more. Maz

I gained about 10kgs. whenI started Rux. Too much extra weight for me. Hard to shift. Just wanted to graze.rachel

About 3 stones! I think it is the combination of having more time on my hands and not able to take much exercise. But it's probably because I read that you can put on weight with Rux and just stopped watching what I was eating... But even with the weight gain it is so much better than Hydroxy .

Yes when I started but I later realised that the weight gain had more than one cause. The delight in being able to eat again eventually led my plate size to match my husband’s. Once I got my head around what was going on then I was able to eat sensibly again. Yes I’m a bit heavier than pre rux but well within a healthy BMI.

Yup. Could do without it. There’s a good clip by Reuben Mesa ( a major MPN reseacher and all round good guy) on - Patient Power? MPNResearch ? giving some reasons why it happens.

My husband is constantly hungry he's craving sweet food all the time . He's been on ruxolitanib since end of February and we've realised his increased appetite maybe down to the medication x
