I’m so confused!

I’m currently seeing a gastroenterologist and I’ve been diagnosed with NAFL with stage 3 fibrosis.

He has written to my doctor advising them to refer me to a haematologist due to the symptoms I have, to check if I have PRV / secondary polycythemia

It was bad enough getting my head around liver fibrosis without throwing anything else into the mix 😳

Is liver issues and PRV linked somehow?

After spending the last year wanting reasons for how I felt I now feel like I’m on a roundabout trying to get off.

Do I really want to know 😢

Thanks for your response Kelly PRV stands for Polycythaemia rubra vera

I’m sorry if I am not making myself clear, I know from the British Liver Foundation site that we are told that sites such as these can’t give out medical advice, nor should we put reports online.

Even more confused now , perhaps this was a bad idea 😬

No! You should post here. You have a query about a potential PV diagnosis so you’re in the right Forum. Liver issues do crop up in the chats so hang on here. (I’m not sure what NAFL stands for.) I’m sure someone will have something to share. The time around diagnosis can do your head in! Be nice to yourself. Wishing you strength.
