Thought I’d post this link about the NHS now using CAR-T therapy. Very exciting treatment, especially with regards to how it might be used in the future (hasn’t been used on MPNs yet as far as I know, but has been getting 80% success rates on some advanced blood cancers). Each treatment is tailored specifically for the individual patient. Basically they take a patient’s blood, “teach” the drug to target the cancer cells, and then put it back into their body. Hugely expensive and early days but exciting.

Yes heard and read about this exciting new treatment, was on the news yesterday, also regarding its effectiveness with children and leukaemia, wonderful news for the future.
