I know I’ve posted about this in the past but it’s been a while. I’m curious to know the successful and unsuccessful pregnancy stories?
I am almost 28 yrs old and feel like time is clicking. This is my chance to have another one but I am terrified of another pregnancy complication. Any advice?

I’m 36 with ET CalR+ and have just had my first child - a beautiful healthy little girl. I was looked after through out by MPN specialist as well as an obstetric consultant, having regular blood tests and growth scans. I took aspirin and standard pregnancy vitamins and had no issues (other than those expected with pregnancy - morning sickness and back pain).
It was recommended that I did not go beyond my due date so was induced at 39+5. Unfortunately, neither baby or I liked this so it ended up being a c-section, however I was very lucky and had a wonderful registrar who made the decision early so I was able to have an epidural and my scar is very small and has healed beautifully. I was on fragmin for 6 weeks after the birth and am back under the care of my MPN specialist. My platelets dropped during pregnancy but unfortunately went up quite significantly afterwards - they are, however slowly coming back down to my ‘normal’.
I know that it’s a scary prospect and there is a lot out there about miscarriages especially late term but as they know about your condition they will be able to monitor you accordingly and you will hopefully be able to have a relatively trouble free pregnancy. Good luck!
Hi, I’m 31 and currently 21 weeks pregnant with my second child. I was diagnosed with ET (triple negative) shortly after giving birth to my first child 16 months ago. My first born, little boy, was a healthy pregnancy with no complications until near the end (elevated blood pressure - nothing related to ET) and this time with the additional monitoring you get due to the condition I have no reason to suspect anything Untoward will happen.
It’s a scary prospect knowing you have the condition and the risk with pregnancy but the specialists are there to support you and you get a lot of extra care. Good luck!
