Hi Baileyboys

I have ET and cured my fatigue in three days with magnesium, buy some Doctor's Best High Absorption Chelated Magnesium and take four tablets a day, I also use magnesium flakes in the bath and magnesium oil. Do not take Oxide or Citrate they are laxatives.

I’m a farmer and I can tell you will not get the required amount from just food, everybody is low in magnesium, the blood test is a waste of time. After a few days you should get a rush of energy, you need to take magnesium everyday and it can take over two years to build up your reserves.

Hi Emma, I don’t have therapies, but I was experiencing terrible fatigue and went to a nutritionist for advice. Since changing/tweaked my diet I have had so much more energy than I have had for years.

Also, and I know everyone talks about this, I do notice the difference if I don’t take enough fluid in a day. I really don’t like water and am not a great hydrator, but it helps with the fatigue, as well as nausea, dry skin, and so on.

I wonder if something like reflexology would be good? Just a though I haven’t tried it for this specifically.

Oh and of course the nap after work always helps me :)

Take care

Sue

Check with your haem team. My hospital - Guys in London - runs a fatigue clinic through the adjoining cancer Centre. I thought it was quite useful. One of the things they suggested was Mindfulness. I didn’t find the material they gave me very helpful but I got a copy of Dr Mark Williams book / CD off Amazon and that was great. There is increasing research / evidence to show that it can have a substantial impact on fatigue and wellbeing.

Also exercise and hydration and social engagement can be important.

My experience has been that the fatigue can go in cycles. Do check your iron levels too. Low iron levels can wipe you out.

Hi, so agree re Magnesium and fluids (especially lots of filtered water) but also .....walking and walking and more walking....it really works! even when, to start with, you feel tired....just build up the walking times. Very best wishes to you, Tinkerbell
