Hello, I just wondered if anyone else had problems trying to sleep with p.v. pain, I have been on two different types of drugs but unfortunately they are not having much effect on the discomfort through the night. I manage fine during the day with only mild symptoms but the pain is getting worse. Seeing my haematologist next week but does anyone have any suggestions. Thank you

PV Pain
i have bone pain, prescribed solpadol from gp, paracetamol/codeine take 1/2 helps u sleep
Thank you Jane, I have tried just paracetamol but this wears off after a while so still waking up, it would appear to be just one of those things that goes with the condition.
agreed: I often take 1 tablet as I go to sleep then another if i wake up before say 0200 . I think lack of a good night's sleep night after night has a major effect on how I feel, but can't find anything better! I tried anti-inflammatories (brufen) and they work better as pain killers but give me bad acid reflux. No real solution.
So sorry to hear of your pain discomfort.
Some times its hard to find a good solution to fit you.
When my hand was playing up following a fracture last year I alternated with paracetamol and voicemail two hours apart.
Return to your team and ask for solutions.
Other over the counter solutions may benefit you.
Such as pain cold spray, tiger balm, eating well and drinking lots of fluid.
Tens machine and acupressure have helped me in the passed.
It should read cocodamol
Thank you Roger, I thought voicemail sounded a bit strange! I am back at the hospital tomorrow so will definitely mention some form of pain relief.
