I hope I'm not transgressing by posting this here, but I'm guessing that many of you will be trying to keep up to date with the latest MPN research, so may have encountered and solved this problem. Anyway, here goes:
I have noticed that many online medical journals and research papers require an Athens account in order to view them. As it's been a few years (!!!) since I had a Uni email address I am struggling to find a way in. Does anyone know of a way to open an Athens account without being in full time education?
Many thanks
John

Many journals are only accessible to subscribing universities. I am an academic in one of UK’s leading universities but even then I sometimes find I cannot access certain medical journals as my institution does not subscribe to them because we don’t have a medical school...
But there is a growing move towards open access from research councils and so often authors will post the accepted version of the published paper in their own institution repositories, which are freely accessible. Research Gate is another repository where often authors post their publications.
