The fight against MPN got serious, I've just bought myself a shiny new pashley bike 🚲 to get some exercise. Now let's hope the rain stops 🌧

I'm very jealous Lainy,

I used to have a Pashley but I found it very heavy and traded it in for a lighter one. I don't have a bike at all now as I have rhumatoid arthritis in both wrists and was finding it hard to squeeze the brakes. Not good when you want to stop!

Enjoy your cycling.

Oh no, worried it's going to be too heavy for me too. I'm picking it up tomorrow afternoon. Hope I can lift it onto my car carrier πŸ‹πŸ’ͺπŸ’ͺ

Life is too short to deny yourself lifes little pleasures. I'm gonna live a full happy life and forget all about MPN.. it hit me with a bang when diagnosed in March but I'm not letting it take over my everyday thoughts

I'M IN CHARGE E.T ! ! ! Hee hee

Well done you. I've also joined the gym recently and noticed my blood pressure has gone down to a healthier level it was just creeping into the high range but has come down to s healthy range recently. Just wondering is there any reasearch that exercise reduces platlet count?

I've not a clue but my mental attitude is, im not gonna let this stop me living a full life. if anything it has given me respect for how precious life and my family are to me.

Hi lainy, good on you, that's the spirit πŸ˜„I bought myself a adult cargo trike to cycle round on because my balance is a bit dodgy and found i had to learn how to ride it! It's hilarious, you would think it is the most easy thing to do, but it is not. Not that I'm doing that at the moment because the fatigue has been so bad that I have been reduced to using an excercise bike with no tension! But getting family to have a go has been a hysterically, fun, stress buster πŸ˜„xxx

Sounds good fun, I will need to have a wee look at a cargo trike on net to see what it's like. I'm getting mine this afternoon and yip it's pouring. Oh well my skin is waterproof. I'm too excited to care about a little rain.

None as I've not got it. Bike was there but without a basket. Wanted to give me an alternative, said no I've paid for a pashley wicker basket and that's what I want. Said if no stores nearby have a spare basket I could be waiting 28 days for one to be sent from pashley in England. Don't understand when I bought from Evans bikes. I'm so fed up now. Had big plans this whole weekend too. Oh well telly it is 😈😈😈😈

Hi Steve, we will not be beaten by this awful disease. How are you ? My daughter is down your way the now. The are going to the opera house and harbour today. They stayed with family in the katumba. Im missing her like crazy 😭 never mind not long now till August and she will be home.

Hope the cold and rain the last couple of days not causing you too much bother ?

Best wishes as always lainy πŸ€— (uk)

Hey Lainy... :)

Well they might want to wait a day or two, as lately all of Sydney has been inundated w/ inclement weather... Hopefully it will fine up soon and they can enjoy a very cold day out in Sydney...

Katoomba, is the unofficial capital of the Blue Mountains, and where one can talk any number of really cool bush walks around the iconic three sisters. They are three natural unusual rock formations that have iconic status down here...

Surprisingly, I managing the cold reasonably well, but still not enjoying it, because it prevents me riding my bike...

I hope that you will really learn to enjoy riding your too...

Have an awesome day Lainy.
