How are you after your knee op? I am 3 weeks post partial knee replacement and having my good and bad days as expected. I hope you are doing well. It is the most painful post op that I have endured but as they say "no pain, no gain."
I have been on blood thinning tablets so I am hoping my counts are all okay but finished them today so I suppose I better get my counts checked in the near future.
The worst PV symptom I am finding post op is the itchy skin. The medics think I had a reaction to the dressings and my knee came up with three lovely blisters which to be fair have healed but have left my skin super sensitive all over my body to itching!
I just wonder if anyone else has experienced this post op? I find too that no matter how much water I drink I seem to be dehydrated and I am having difficulty with body temperature control, particularly first thing in the morning.
I hope you and all other contacts on the forum are doing as well as we can be.
Kindest regards
Aime xx😺😺

Hi amie ,, I go next Friday for full new knee ,so in being extra careful with my diet ,,strawberries every day ,and honey ..green leaves and tomatoes garlic the internal antiseptic ,,I'm going private to Cambridge ,so they will follow my special needs , I'm stopping my clopiterol 7 days ahead ,but I will continue the ruxulitnib all through as I did in March when I had a major gut op .and sailed through that o,k, I'm exercising knee lifts each day and after will work with a personal trainer as part of my deal .im paying lots to get it done so I don't catch any bugs in a big ward ..I decided my leg was my priority now ,need to get fit for crufts in March ..going with 3 Russians ..I hope ...keep up the garlic and healthy eating and drinking juice and nutri bullet shakes ..to get better ,,all the best. Twinkly 💜
All the very best Twinkly for your op. Three weeks on I am walking around the house with no sticks and able to walk up to about a mile outside. I think my PV body just needs to settle back to what is normal for me and it will soon. Take care Aime xx😺😺😺
Hi Aime, just wishing you a speedy recovery. My husband also had a full knee replacement two weeks ago. He's progressing nicely so far. Must be the season for knee replacements.
Thank you Mary. I hope you husband keeps progressing well. I go to the hydrotherapy pool now my wound has healed and find this is the easiest way to do the physio exercises. It doesn't do much for my itchy skin but I had to make a choice and the knee won! Kindest regards Aime xx😺😺
