When starting HU, I had some stomach problems but these cleared up after taking it 'within' a meal. (Kind of insulating it with food!) Subsequently had problems - pains - immediately after taking asprin. This was solved by taking gastro-resistant asprin tablets and ensuring I had a full stomach. Hope this helps. Sallie

Hi Holly, sorry to hear that the hydroxy is upsetting your tummy. Did Mine to start with, but then my tum does not like tablets full stop, but was surprised after a couple of weeks it seemed to go away, not sure if it was all the water I was drinking that helped, I take mine in the morning after a good breakfast along with enteric coated Asprin, also when I get out of bed I take my Thyroxin, then an hour later blood pressure tablet as I found that If I took them all together for some reason my stomach went into overdrive, but you have to do what suits you and your body.

So good luck, hope your tummy recovers soon.

Hi Holly, I was advised to take my Hu at bed time so as to sleep through any side effects, hopefully. Seems to work for me, hope things settle down soon, Frances.

I had tummy upsets when first on hu but it settled down after a while. Took mine after my evening meal which helped.

Best wishes
