Hey Twinkly my friend, by sheer coincidence I have just managed to get t'internet connection in here, dunno why it's a problem coz I'm 2 rooms away from my last stay when had transplant. Have to type quick in case it 'drops out' . .

I'm finding it quite tough going as they had to force my Sisters Stem cells to be one much more aggressive. In turn I now have Graft Versus Host Disease as the new cells ie graft battle what's left of me ie host. Unfortunately I have quite a hit of GVHD which is affecting ting my gut , digestive system. This isn't easy to calm down, but at least I'm eating a bit now. I have a rash over 60% of my bod mainly torso, back arms.

I need to get myself eating a meal and controlling my bowel before I can safely go home. . I'm still strong but I must admit my resolve is being tested, whew I am human !!

Like to say Thanks to all you guys for your messages of support and to you Twinkly for your kindness and caring way. . To you guys facing your transplant in the New or coming year please don't let my experience deter you in any way as we're all different, just think on its a journey not a race to the line. . Love to All . . Chris xx

Good to hear from you Chris, glad to see the digestive process looks to be improving.

I fully back up JR's comments about not being deterred, we're all different and so are our body reactions; I also had a SCT about the same time as JR and had similar GvHD setbacks but I am now back home and making the most of life as and when I can.

Merry Christmas to all.

Hi there JR glad to hear from you. You have such a strong resolve to beat this. And once again despite all the adversities you're encouraging others. You're an inspiration to us all. And Twinkly without your regular updates we wouldn't know anything. So thanks so very much. Janice

Hi Chris: I went looking to see if there was any news - and I was glad to find a message. It looks like everyone else was waiting and wondering too what the latest news was. I can see it not great but its not terrible. I'm sure you will turn the corner soon, and be able to go home. It must be hard to be patient, but you've come through so much, I was totally amazed at how well you were doing, so by my reckoning you're in the home stretch and the winner's post is in view, you've just got to hang in, and you'll soon be in the winner's circle.

With all good wishes, hope the internet co-operates a bit more. Jean

Just had an update today from J.R ,he is still in hospital .his host cells are not accepting his donor cells in the BM.Transplant .his liver is not function ing as it should as yet , He has not really any appetite .when he eats he gets diarrhoea,I suggested he asks for eggs as they do seem gentle in these circumstances some times ..tonight they tried a new injection to try to alter this situation and give him some relief ..I sent him some pictures to cheer him ..of course I told him we are all rooting for him ..I know we are together on this ..love to you all as ever. Twinkly. Xxx
