I have very red cheeks which I think is fairly common with PV but they are also quite spotty. No itchiness. Does anyone have any ideas.

Hi Liarose, I had this and I think it was Rosacea.. I find that Vitamin E oil, dr.organics, available in Holland and Barratts, applied at night, keeps it at bay. I apply over all my face so it acts as a night moisturiser. I now have completely clear skin for about 2 years. It took some weeks to work. If I miss patches or forget to apply it the spots come back. It is oily and it may get on the pillowcase but I think it is a small price to pay for clear skin. If you try it let me know how you get on.

it sounds like rosacea to me too. I got so I could give the average teenager a run for their money! I got a cream from the doctor - rosex - which is also effective and non greasy if you don't fancy the oil remedy.

Hi Liarose, I have PV and do get red, spotty cheeks and nose which come and go. I am blaming my PV. I try and keep my skin moisturised but have not asked for anything from GP as the redness comes and goes.

Hi Liarose, thank you for asking this question as I regularly get red cheeks and have not been sure how to calm the redness. In fact it was my mum noticing the redness that started the path for me getting diagnosed. But I have ET?? Good luck with finding a solution!
