does anyone suffer migraine /aura when it's really sunny,
Think that maybe my trigger, had another this afternoon, the 4th one this July.
Usually one a month . Is it likely to be the cause, have not found any other trigger, except lack of sleep,!!!?

Hi yes sunshine is a definite trigger. I have to wear dark sunglasses, a big straw hat and sit in the shade, or I end up with a bad migrane. The glare of looking out on a sunny day, can even be a trigger. Today it's thunderstorm s and the heavy atmosphere also triggers my migrane. As lovely as the summer is, I'm better in winter. Hope you're having a good day x
Please consider a sleep study! Yes, sun light really hurts when migraines are starting.
I’d say that the sun is the greatest trigger of all when it comes to migraine (possibly on a level with alcohol). I’ve spent over 20 years dodging the sun!! Have no desire whatsoever to go on holiday to hot countries. Would seriously move to the highlands of Scotland if i could!!
Funnily enough I find winter sun to be a bigger trigger than summer sun. That's because on a clear winter's day rays of sunlight evade most of our defences, entering the eye at a low angle. In summer the brightest sun is overhead, plus we're usually better prepared and protected.
Direct sunshine is a trigger for me as well, so now have a sun hat in l my bags and then I fine. Other triggers are lack of sleep and worry about forthcoming events. I found that going for a bike ride or climbing stairs helps when I have migraines. It feels counter-intuitive and I only found out about it when cycling home from work with a migraine.
