Second time Topiramat with side effects

Hey There.

Second time I try Topiramat for my Migrane. Any Tipps for stomach cramps and Diarreha?

It wasn't that bad the first time I had to take them.

Find another medication...Please read previous posts on this medication it has done damage to so many people.

If you have not seen a migraine Specialist, please start there.

I tried soooo many things, so many medications, so many therapies but Topiramat is the only thing that that stopps my havy Migrane attacks(5to7day straight) I have seen severeal Doctors, Neurologists, at the wost I went to the Hospital not even they could help me.

I was you.. then I sat at my computer one day and could not remember my password.. then I could not remember directions.. then I struggled to remember very important details at my job. When I called to tell my doctor I needed off this medication, she agreed. I spent 6 months doing research: heads up podcast, migraine summitt, reading and started on high doses of magnesium glycinate ( many with migraines are deficient) and started Feverfew. I now am off major medications and only use my Triptans when needed ( I take pill and injections). I drink way more water, never skip a meal ( with protein), I use ice when my back and neck hurt. I drink hot peppermint tea when I feel it come on.

Since being off the Topiramat, my memory is slowly getting better.

You should consider seeing a migraine specialist ( all they do is see people with migraines)

Hi Crystal, I have been taking Topirimate for a long time now and it does seem to make a lot of people including me lactose intolerant. Since giving up dairy my stomach has been much happier. Maybe it will help you to.
