Hemiplegic Migraine and Nerve Pain

So ever since I had a big HM attack in September/October (lasted like 3 weeks), my left side has not been the same.

I get nerve pain after moving my leg/arm at times. Weakness and tingling has been appearing on and off.

I basically can't rely on my left side anymore (and even typing this was tricky).

Anyone else experienced this? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I am currently doing some physio exercises but nothing else to treat it.

Thanks for reading.

Hi, I also suffer from HMs and it can take weeks to recover, some symptoms never really go away. You learn to live with the symptoms. I find mindfulness & meditation helpful. I suffer from paralysis down my right hand side after severe attacks so I have Botox every 3 months which has been a life saver for me. I also use a chill pillow to help me sleep when my head gets hot or too painful.

They can be very unsettling and frightening at first but you get accustomed to the symptoms over time. I hope this helps and you are starting to feel better.

Thanks, Val. I just didn't think its typical for these sort of symptoms to last months and occur randomly too.
