Yes, I also become very dizzy
Bizarrely this has never happened to me before until the last couple of days, I get dizzy too. But my migraines have been so bad recently they have started me on a new drug 3 days ago which apparently lowers blood pressure so I put it down to that. Although I have relatively low blood pressure anyway so frequently get a bit light headed just not had the ringing in my ears as pronounced before.
Yea mines started recently too! It’s pretty scary. Sometimes it happens without a migraine. I noticed it started after I started taking propranolol
I was put on propranlol 20 years ago, it's a beta blocker so it wouldn't be that odd if it does stuff to your blood pressure bc I think it's generally prescribed for heart conditions. I always get pressure building up around my ears before a migraine and find myself popping them every five minutes.....
Same here, I’m constantly have to pop my ears like I’m on an airplane or something. My mind tends to wonder about that. Because as I mentioned these things happens even without a migraine.
I reckon it's just tension, I'm a very tense person and I know there is nothing wrong with my ears because I scuba dive and if there was anything really wrong with them I wouldn't be able to equalise underwater. Not that I understand why tension would change the pressure in your ears but I certainly associate it with stress.
I do, before the migraine starts, it could be 2 days before the attack, when someone talk to me I hear like an echo. When that happens I know that a migraine is coming.
I have tinnitus anyway (it's surprisingly common), but it either becomes more intense during my migraines or I just notice it more.
Hello. I do have tinnitus (due to hearing loss in one ear) and it is more intense during a migraine. If you have a tense neck, this could explain the ringing in your ears. However, talk to your doctor about it, if you think it could be your medication. But most importantly: when you perceive some ringing in your ears RELAX and FOCUS on something else. The more you listen to the ringing, the more you will hear it. You're the boss, not the ringing in your ears.
I have had tinnitus for 25 years ,24/7 but migraines started only 10 years ago. If my tinnitus is related to migraines, took a while to catch up.
Yes, I also have tinnitus when I have migraine. I think it was originally triggered by some medication I was trying. I have also used propranolol for chronic migraine, but had to stop as I could not tolerate side effects when dose was increased...to be honest I am really disillusioned with medication....have not found one in 7 years that doesn't have negative consequences.....hard to keep trying at times.
