I'm posting this as a possibility of why myself and some others may get migraines..... Worth looking into??.
I'm a 51yr old man who has had random migraines since the age of 13 ,and i could never find the trigger!.
I have very flat feet and wear special insoles which give me arches and this in turn improves my overall posture...tend to only wear them only small amount.
To cut a long story short.... I have had a full on medical this year and it's looking like when i don't wear my insoles, i naturally stick my neck out to the extent that i may be restricting the CS fluid down the spinal cord and causing a slight pressure build up in the skull and hindering the transport of waste products from the brain!.
..... There are now MRI videos showing how the CF fluid pulsates and pumps around the skull and down the spinal column.
The solution might be to wear my insoles as much as possible and "wind my neck in!"
Don't know of it's a cure yet as i can go a year without a migraine (although last time i got a week of them!)....But thought it might be useful information.

This is very interesting- thank you. I had a work station assessment a few years ago and the Occupational Therapist told me I stick my chin out slightly. This is obviously an unconscious thing however now I know I try my best to correct it.
I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that migraines may be associated with neck problems - my migraine was kept largely under control by seeing a cranial osteopath for years, but as I aged and the neck problems got worse, I'm not now able to have those neck treatments, and the migraine became much more frequent. Having given up dairy 9 months ago for a different reason, it turns out that was responsible for the optical migraine because since I stopped dairy, I don't have frequent (or any at all, in fact) visual aura any more, but I do still get migraine headache, though these always were much less often than the visual disturbances, which had got so bad they were daily, if not 2 or 3 times a day. I have a compression in my neck at C5/C6 which is likely causing migraine headache problems, in my estimation...
My migraines have been helped tremendously with neck physical therapy. I am 64 and it’s taken 8 months! At all times I am to focus on same, tucking in chin.
Thank you very much for sharing this information - like others, I think my neck/posture has a huge bearing on my migraines. Will try & improve my posture
I thought I would bump this thread......I got a migraine yesterday from forgetting my own advice and not being careful about my posture.. Could help many people like me who
