If you are in Scotland and suffer from chronic migraine you might be able to get Aimovig within the NHS Scotland.

The Scottish Medicines Consortium has announced today that Aimovig (Erenumab) has been accepted for a restricted use within the NHS Scotland for those who suffer with chronic migraine.

This news is welcomed by us all here at the NMC and we hope that these new generation drugs will be available on the NHS soon across the UK so that more people are able to access them.

Amovig is quite similar to the structure of Topiramate with severe questionable, horrendous side effects for many. I am not convinced it won’t be taken off the market for improvement. Be careful. Ask lots of questions when talking to your neurologist about it.
