Vomiting with Migraine - a tip!

Just wanted to share this with anyone for whom vomiting and nausea is a problem with Migraine.

Ive had migraine for years and for many of them the worst was the nausea lasting 3 days and retching etc...on top of awful pain. Some of you will be experiencing the same. Prochlorperazine injections would stop the vomiting, and the migraine ( after an injection I would be sleepy and out of it , but be much relieved). However getting GP to come out and do the injection could involve quite a battle for my husband! And if we were away on holiday, I just had to suffer anyway. Finally the migraine clinic doctor wrote to my gp and suggested I and my husband were taught by the practice nurse to administer my own injection and since then I have my own stock of syringes and prochlorperazine (stemetil) which I keep with me at all times. Its been a life-saver! I still have to spend time in bed etc but the migraine is shorter and I suffer so much less.

I hope this might help someone else who has this dreadful illness.
