Severe headache for last two decades...

I get headache by getting exposed to sunlight or strong smell or sometimes during periods...for nearly 20 years. Sometimes I can avoid it by taking 2 tablets of Paracetamol after getting light signals of impending headache. But sometimes that doesn't work. I am fed up of taking pcm tabs...any help...

Hi Vikram2406 I'm so sorry you suffer so much. I have headache , dizzyness and eye pain every day. Nothing takes the headache away and it escalates to migraine every day.

I stick to the max triptans a wk and use ice packs on my temples/back of my neck. It helps to dull the pain but haven't found my cure yet.

Sunlight - if the sun gets in my line of sight for even a second i get aura and have to batton down the hatches awaiting horrific pain.

I have green migralense sunglasses and I've got to say i have only had 3 aura migraines in 4mths now. Definitely helping me.

I take supplements too but not sure their doing anything although I'll keep taking them.

40yrs I've had migraine, they were always aura until 4yrs ago when my jaw was causing daily migraines, car accident, long story but botox into tmj have these ones under control.

Hi Cally,Your story is identical to mine,over forty years of daily pain.Ive tried everything and triptans and ice packs on my face help sometimes.I think you once said you are from Scotland,if so,so I'm I. Take care

Hi all...I too suffer from daily migraines ..they differ in symptoms and pain strength every day ..triptans used to work but not anymore ive also tried many many different things..I was lucky enough to see a top neurologist 12 weeks ago who prescribed tablets for high blood pressure(i dont have high blood pressure)..anyway I would have tried ANYTHING...I was losing control of my life from migraine missing work etc...so he started me on 4mg working up to 32mg ....I am currently on 12 mg suffering two or three headaches a week at about a level two in pain!!!I could live like this forever..its so much better..anyway they are called candesartan...might work for others too

I'm so glad they work for you. That's the first tablet i got but didn't help at all 😣
