Daith piercings

Does anyone have any experience of daith piercings? I read an interesting article about how working on a acupuncture principle, they help to reduce migraines.

Thanks

I got one almost a month ago and have only had two very mold migraines since. One was after going out and having wine and the other was yesterday. But one dose of Frova stopped them both times.

Glad it is helping you. Did you go to a medical practioner or just a piercer? Also did you just have it in one ear or both? I usually get my migraines on my left side so assume left ear would be best? Sorry for all the questions x

Mine are also on the left and I got it on the left. I do plan on getting the other side done too just as a preventative. You can get hardware that doesn't show much if that is a concern. I got a rainbow heart. If you search for daith heart, you will see what I have.

Hi I have just watched Fridays This Morning on catchup, there was a lady on it who has had this done, here is a link itv.com/hub/this-morning/1a...

You need to go to around 1.02 into the programme to see it

Hope this is helpful to you

Yes I have had it done and after suffering for 3 years ...brain scan, blood tests, daily drugs, Triptans and Accupuncture. For me it has been the miracle cure. Only 3 weeks ago and apart from 2 very minor ones both the day after having a couple of vodkas, I have been pain free. No meds nothing. It has given me my life back. Early days but definitely getting less sceptical. Nothing to lose apart from the cost of the piercing......which was less than the weekly Accupuncture I paid for.

Hey I am 63 and didn't want to look like an aging hippy but it's very discreet To be honest I,d wear a rose up my nose if it stops those damn awful migraines

I am interested! Where do would you go to enquire and possibly get one?

Google for your nearest piercing studio. metro.co.uk/2015/11/10/do-y...

Thanks for the link. Does it matter which ear you should get pierced. I tend to have a throb fairly central and low down.

babs1234 profile image
babs1234 in reply toPooh10

It says the side of the pain but if it's central you can have both done. When the first one has settled you could have the other one done if it's necessary

Google for your neares piercing studio but make sure he knows about it. Maybe take a picture because it has to be done in the right place ..
